Meet Kizzy Petit
I'm a Venezuelan-born writer living in England.
I write literary memoir, essays, and children's books that explore motherhood, belonging, emotional inheritance, and the deep transformations that shape our lives.
My path has taken me across journalism, academia, motherhood, migration, and education.
Before dedicating myself to writing full-time, I worked as a journalist, university lecturer, and researcher, eventually completing a PhD. Today, I also work in a specialist school supporting neurodiverse children, an experience that continues to deepen my understanding of childhood, communication, and human connection.
Across every stage of my life, writing has remained the thread that brings those experiences together.
My children's books celebrate curiosity, nature, and the unhurried rhythms of childhood.
