Hi, I'm Kizzy Petit
I'm a writer of literary memoir, essays and children's books, drawn to the stories that shape who we are and who we are becoming.
My writing explores motherhood, belonging, emotional inheritance and the courage it takes to begin again. Whether I'm writing for children or adults, I'm interested in the moments that change us, the relationships that sustain us and the experiences that connect us.
I believe stories can help us recognise something of ourselves in another person's life. Through my books and essays, I hope to create space for curiosity, reflection and a deeper understanding of one another.
My Mission
I believe stories have the power to connect us, challenge the narratives we inherit, and help us see ourselves and others with greater compassion.
My mission is to create writing that invites reflection, nurtures curiosity, and reminds us that our experiences matter, our voices deserve to be heard, and it is never too late to begin again.
